Manoela is a dedicated and highly experienced and licensed  school psychologist with over 18 years of service in the field of education. With a strong foundation in both teaching and intervention, she brings a comprehensive understanding of child development, learning processes, and educational systems.

 

Manoela has extensive expertise in psychoeducational assessment, behavioral consultation, and individualized student planning. 

 

Before becoming a school psychologist, Manoela worked as a classroom teacher and academic interventionist. This dual perspective allows her to identify students’ baseline abilities and implement targeted, data-informed interventions to promote mastery and growth.

 

Manoela is known for her collaborative approach, working closely with families, educators, administrators, and support staff to ensure students’ needs are met in a holistic and inclusive manner. She has contributed to district-wide initiatives in social-emotional learning (SEL), crisis response, and positive behavior interventions and supports (PBIS).

 

Her work reflects a deep commitment to equity, student advocacy, and whole-child development. Manoela remains passionate about fostering environments where all students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Athena is a licensed school psychologist with over a decade of experience supporting children and families across schools, universities, an governmental settings.

 

She has a comprehensive background in psychology including, Educational Psychology and School Psychology from the University of Florida, Florida Atlantic University, and Florida International University. Throughout her career, she has worked in several roles centered in helping children and adolescents succeed—academically, socially, and emotionally.

 

Earlier in her career, she worked in Vocational Rehabilitation as a counselor, helping individuals with disabilities prepare for employment. In addition to her work in K–12 settings, she taught Educational Psychology as an adjunct professor at Florida International University, where she prepared future educators to understand diverse student needs. During graduate school, she held several research positions focusing on ADHD, evidence based social-emotional interventions, and social psychology- experiences that continue to inform her work with students today. 

 

Athena brings a warm, thoughtful approach to every evaluation and is dedicated to providing high-quality and individualized support, tailored to children.
