School advocacy, parent coaching, and consultation services are offered based on the level of support and structure needed.
Parents often seek an evaluation when they notice a gap between their child’s effort and their academic or emotional functioning.
Common reasons include:
Difficulty with attention, focus, or organization
Academic struggles despite support
Emotional overwhelm, anxiety, or behavioral changes
Concerns about learning differences or developmental delays
Questions about giftedness or advanced abilities
If you're unsure, we can help you determine whether an evaluation is appropriate through an initial free consultation.
Each evaluation is individualized and designed to provide both clarity and direction.
A typical evaluation includes:
A comprehensive parent interview and developmental history
One-on-one testing with your child
Review of teacher or school input when appropriate
Cognitive, academic, and socio-emotional assessment as indicated
A detailed written report with findings and recommendations
A feedback session to review results and next steps in depth
Our goal is not only diagnosis, but understanding which is paired with a clear, actionable plan for home and school.
The evaluation process is structured, thorough, and tailored to each child.
It begins with an initial parent consultation and completion of an intake form to gather relevant background information, including developmental history, current academic functioning, and any prior evaluations, IEPs, or diagnoses.
Based on this information, standardized questionnaires may be sent to parents and, when appropriate, teachers to gather additional insight across settings.
The direct testing session with your child typically lasts 1–3 hours and may be completed over 1–2 sessions depending on attention, comfort, and the scope of the evaluation.
After testing, all data—including testing results, parent input, teacher feedback (if applicable), and records—is carefully integrated and analyzed.
A comprehensive written report with findings and individualized recommendations is completed within approximately two weeks from the final testing session.
A follow-up feedback meeting is included to review results, answer questions, and clearly outline next steps and recommendations.
We work with children as young as age 2 through college-aged students.
Our services span early developmental concerns, school-age learning and behavioral needs, and college-level documentation for academic accommodations and support.
Yes. Select services, including counseling and parent coaching, may be offered via Telehealth when clinically appropriate.
We carefully consider each case to determine whether virtual services are the best fit for effective care.
Because evaluations involve extensive preparation, reserved testing time, and specialized materials, we require at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling.
Late cancellations or missed appointments may incur a fee of up to $150 of the scheduled service.
We understand that life happens, please reach out as soon as possible if adjustments are needed, and we will always do our best to support you.
Insurance coverage varies widely by provider and plan. In most cases, psychoeducational evaluations are not fully covered or are only partially reimbursed.
Some therapy services may be eligible for out-of-network reimbursement, depending on your plan’s structure and benefits.
If needed, we provide superbills to support reimbursement submission. However, approval and payment remain between you and your insurance provider.
Yes. Our evaluation reports are specifically designed to support school-based decision-making, including recommendations for 504 Plans, IEP development, and academic accommodations.
While we cannot guarantee specific school placements or eligibility outcomes, our reports are carefully written to clearly outline your child’s learning profile, strengths, and areas of need in a way that is clinically grounded and educationally relevant.
Each report is tailored to your child’s unique academic and developmental context, with practical recommendations that can be implemented in school settings.
We also value collaboration and are happy to work alongside schools and any interdisciplinary professionals your child may already be connected with in order to support more comprehensive and well-rounded recommendations.
